Whilst Vaal Marina may be described as a ‘holiday township’ by some, it does not clearly explain that Vaal Marina is
actually one of three towns on the banks of the dam.The other two are Deneysville on the western side near the Vaal dam wall, and Oranjeville towards
the southern banks of the dam. The demand for the type of lifestyle that living on the edge of water provides means that much of the area
has found itself subdivided into smallholdings, some of which have become game farms. 

Not all homes in Vaal Marina necessarily have water frontage, but most will have views, and access to water sports, the marina and boats. This is what is so attractive about staying here. As a contrast to the waterside you could visit the beautiful nearby Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve.
